View Tribute Book Joseph “Joey” Raymond Parks Joseph “Joey” Raymond Parks entered this world on December 18th 1987, @ 1:51AM, and changed love as we knew it. He unexpectedly passed away on Tuesday October 27th 2020.  Upon Graduation in 2006, Joey briefly traveled before settling down and becoming a father in the Utica/Rome area. Joseph had a passion for life and a smile that would lighten and be remembered by anyone blessed enough to experience it. Like a man on a mission and always striving for new and better, Joey learned the ins and outs of the Meat industry, leading to a career as an assistant meat supervisor at Price Chopper and lastly Hannaford's.  He also had a passion for sports and was an avid RAIDERS and Yankees fan and had a love for Harleys.  Joseph is survived by his beloved mother, Serena VanTine Hughes and step father David Hughes; father Tommy Joe Parks and Sue Knapp; sons, Lorenzo Joseph and Rosario Joseph Parks; fiancée, Helena Gualtieri,; sisters, Sarah VanTine, Kalah (Tyler) Quinn & Lorrin Parks; brother, Levi Parks; nephews Bradlee & Orrin Wyman; grandmother, Donna Manwarren VanTine, Tammy & Joe Gualtieri, and several aunts, uncles, cousins and step siblings. Joey was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Terry VanTine, paternal grandparents, Orrin and Rhoda Parks and paternal uncle, Dale Parks.  The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 4:00 PM, at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street, Rome, NY Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home, from 2 to 4 PM, prior to the funeral service.  Please wear a mask and adhere to Covid-19 guidelines and social distancing.  Burial will be on Thursday November 5th at West Hill Cemetery in Sherburne, NY, at 11:00 AM .
