View Tribute Book JoLynn Rahrig, age 70, of the Town of Lee, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2024, at the Wynn Hospital in Utica.JoLynn was born in Rome on April 13, 1953 to the late Charles and Felicia DeProspero Halpin. She graduated from Rome Catholic High in 1971 and earned her AAS from MVCC in 1973. On June 5, 1976, she was united in marriage to Frederick Rahrig. JoLynn worked as a legal secretary for various offices in and around Rome.JoLynn loved dogs and enjoyed reading. She was a devout Catholic, mother, and wife. She belonged to the Catholic Daughters at the Church of St. John the Baptist.JoLynn is survived by her loving husband, Fred; daughter, Katherine Rahrig; sister, Charlotte (Timothy) Jakubiec; niece, Sarah Jakubiec; and nephews, David and Matthew Jakubiec.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 11 AM, at the Church of St. John the Baptist, with the Rev. Paul F. Angelicchio as celebrant. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery.There will be no calling hours.Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street.
