John J. Tyler

John J. Tyler, age 60, of Lee Center, passed away October 18, 2011, at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare Center, with his loving family at his side.
He was born February 6, 1951, in Rome, a son of Frederick B. and Vivian Bushey Tyler, and graduated from Rome Catholic High, St. Gregory's College and the University of Central Oklahoma. John was united in marriage to the former Deborah Duty on July 27, 1974, in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Oklahoma City, OK. He was a machinist and formerly worked for Pettibone Corp, Bartell Machine Shop, owned and operated Central Precision for 15 years and most recently worked for Rome Tool and Die. He was a faithful member of St. Joseph's Church in Lee Center.
John truly loved his family. He enjoyed spending time at home, wood working and other house projects and peaceful walks and rides through the woods at his home. He was a faithful volunteer at St. Joseph's Church and loved the many friends he made over the years.
John is survived by his wife, Deborah; his mother, Vivian; two daughters and sons in law, Kimberly and Michael Davis of Lee Center, and Julie and Dennis Prevost of Jacksonville, FL; a son and daughter in law, Ryan and Jessica Tyler of Arlington, MA; a sister and brother in law, Kathleen and Paul Lucci of Rome; three brothers and sisters in law, Richard and Mary Ann Tyler of Rome, James and Donna Tyler of Rome, and Edward and Wanda Tyler of Norman Park, GA; a grandson, Owen Tyler; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Frederick W. Tyler, Sr., and Robert C. Tyler, and a nephew, Matthew R. Tyler, and a great nephew, Frederick W. Tyler, III.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 9:30 AM from the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street and at 10:30 AM at St. Joseph's Church in Lee Center. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home, Thursday 5to 8 PM.
