John J. Sullivan, 71, formerly of Rome, passed away peacefully June 27, 2016.
He was born June 21, 1945, in Manhattan, a son of the late Timothy and Helen Devine Sullivan. He graduated from Hunter College, and served as a field representative for the Social Security Administration, before retiring 9 years ago.
John is survived by his two sisters, Mary Coleman and her husband James, and Sr Eileen Sullivan, as well as his two sons, Timothy and his wife Erin, and Terence and his wife Kristin. John is also survived by his six grandchildren, John, James, Kate, Maggie, Eamon and Connor.
A Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Rev. Philip A. Hearn, will be held Thursday at 12:00 PM, at St. Peter's Church. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, NY.
There are no calling hours.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street.
