View Tribute Book John Charles Platts, age, 72, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2020, in Zephyrhills, FL, with his family at his side. He was born February 7, 1948, in Ilion, NY, a son of the late Charles and Esther Seniff Platts.  John was united in marriage to the former Maria Wrinkle on June 17th, 1989, in Clayville, NY.  He was a machinist at Homogenous Metals in Clayville, retiring after many years of service. John is survived by his wife, Maria; daughter, Jessica Platts, son Justin Platts, and daughter, Melissa Blackwell Bixler; also survived by his brother, Hercules F. Platts and sister, Charlotte Patterson.  The family would also like to say a huge thank you to all family and friends that have been there for John throughout the years. He was truly loved and cared for by many and cannot thank you enough for the love and compassion shown for him.  Funeral services will be private. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Barry Funeral Home, 807 W.
