Joan J. Christodolou, age 87, of Rome, went to be with the Lord on October 29, 2026.

Joan was born in Rome on July 26, 1939, the daughter of the late Edward and Palmyra (Cavalier) Kimmel. She graduated from Rome Free Academy in 1957. On June 10, 1972, she was united in marriage to James "Chris" Christodolou. Joan had a strong work ethic and loved staying busy. She was the manager of Freedom Mall for over 20 years. She also earned her real estate license, a reflection of her passion for homes and all things real estate. Joan owned and operated Lifestyle Senior Service for eight years.

Joan was a caring person who always put others before herself. Her pride and joy was her family, including all of her pets. Her loved ones will remember her generous spirit and sense of humor. She always loved shopping on QVC and finding special things to spoil her family. Joan enjoyed long drives, the change of seasons, and supporting her grandchildren in their extracurriculars.

Joan is survived by her husband, James; her daughter and son in law, Lisa and David Dombrowski; her son and daughter in law, Robert Jr. and Alice Page; her grandchildren, Kyle Dombrowski, Kaitlyn (James) Tierney, Aaron (Nicolette) Page, and Sommer vanLieshout; and seven great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her grandson, Robert Page III, and her sister, Shirley Perry.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Rome Health and Betsy Ross Nursing Home.

In keeping with Joan's wishes, services will be private.

Donations in Joan's name may be made to the Bobby Page Foundation and/or the Rome Humane Society.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street, Rome.
