Jessie W. Kwasniewski, age 85, of Coleman Mills Road, passed away August 28, 2009, in Rome Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.
She was born March 19, 1924, in Rome, a daughter of Stanley and Katherine Kopytwoski, and educated in Westmoreland schools. Jessie was united in marriage to Theodore Kwasniewski; he died December 2, 2003.
We will miss her beautiful smile, her never ending generosity and kindness, her constant caring, understanding and comfort, her gracious tolerance and regal bearing, her resolute inner strenght, her encompassing sense of humor, her absolute love and affection, her radiant joy in her family, pets and flowers.
Mother—we all love you so very much. We willl miss your more than you will ever know. Our hearts are broken, but our spirits have been enriched by the privilege of having had you in our lives.
Jesssie is survived by a daughter, Katherine Ann Robarts of Rome; a son, Richard E. Kwasniewski of Rome; a brother and sister in law, Theodore and Jessie Kopytowski of Rome; grandchildren, Heidi Warwick and husband, Douglas, Eric Kwasniewski and fiancee, Jessica Strugala, Kimberly Colville-Reeves and husband, Neil, Ted Kwasniewski and wife, Melissa, Kenneth Kwasniewski and Bethany Kwasniewski; great grandchildren, Nicholas and Jacob Warwick, Alexandra and Rebecca Colville-Reeves, and Issac and Evan Kwasniewski; a niece and dear friend, Cynthia Jo Widtman, and former daughter in law, Carol Kwasniewski Troglio. She was predeceased by a son Edward T. Kwasniewski in 2005; sisters, Genevieve Minkiewicz, Josephine Wojdyla and Helen Pawlinga and brothers, Stanley Kopytowski, Matthew Kopytowski and Joseph Mazur.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 9:45 AM from the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street, and at 10:30 AM at the Church of the Transfiguration Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home, Tuesday 4 to 7 PM.
