Benjamin, age 96, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2022, at the Masonic Care Facility.Jean was born in Utica on July 26, 1925 to the late Robert and Mary Boone Roberts, and graduated from Chadwicks High School. She was united in marriage to Calvin F. Benjamin; a blessed union until his passing on September 3, 1999. Jean worked as an account clerk at Griffiss Air Force Base in Rome.Jean enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She also loved spending time with family and friends at the family camp in Thousand Islands. She taught ceramics and enjoyed working on puzzles.Jean is survived by her sons, Gary (Debra) Donovan of Verona, Kevin (ELizabeth Martin) Donovan of Whitesboro, and Steven (Teri) Benjamin of Taberg; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and a special niece, Vicki Thomasson. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.Memorial donations may be made to the Masonic Nursing Facility, 2150 Bleeker Street, Utica, New York 13501.Arrangements are entrusted to the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street.Please offer online condolences at: www.BarryFuneralHome.com ..
