James “Jim” W. Nutting, 67, of the Town of Lee, passed away peacefully at his home on December 22, 2024, surrounded by his loving family, after a brief illness.
Born in Rome on March 3, 1957, to Marilyn Webster and Charles Nutting, Jim was a lifelong resident of the community. He attended Rome schools and earned his nursing degree from MVCC in 1996. A proud veteran of the U.S. Navy, Jim served his country honorably until his discharge in 1977.

Jim and his beloved wife also shared a love for ballroom dancing and were active participants in the ballroom dance community.
Jim is survived by his devoted wife, Sue (Hall); his children, Ryan (Tara) Nutting, Lindsay (Caleb) Blair, and Tyler (Jennifer) Nutting; and his father, Charles. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Skylar, Kristopher, Natalie, Paisley, Chase, Callie, and two twin Nutting boys soon to arrive. Additionally, he is survived by his brother, Scott Nutting; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles, including his especially close Uncle Bill and Aunt Joyce Nesfeder.
