James P. "Jim" Lennon

James P. "Jim" Lennon, Jr., age 72, of Rome, passed away at home on November 11, 2018.



Jim was born in Rome on June 2, 1946 to the late James Sr. and Ida Chargo Lennon. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. On June 20, 1968, he was united in marriage to the former Cecilia Trocio. Jim worked at Revere Copper for 20 years and as a Federal Police Officer for the DOD at Rome Lab. He was a member of the Henry P. Smith Post #24 American Legion.



Jim is survived by his loving wife, Cecilia; a son and daughter in law, Tim and Theresa Lennon; a granddaughter, Clara; a sister and brother in law, Shirley and Anthony "Tony" DeBella; and several nieces and nephews.



A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday at 2 PM at St. Mary's Church. Burial with military honors will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.



Relatives and friends may call at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street, on Wednesday from 11 AM to 1 PM prior to the funeral.
