James L. "Jim" Feeney

James "Jim" L. Feeney, age 70, of Rome, passed away peacefully March 11, 2014, at home with his loving family and close friends at his side.



He was born August 3, 1943, in New York City, a son of the late Edward and Alice Dunn Feeney, and educated in New York City schools. Jim served as office manager at his brother's, Dr. Robert Feeney's medical office; where he was the joy and soul of the office. He was a member of St. Peter's Church.



During his many years in Rome, Jim befriended and touched the hearts of many people. He will be greatly missed and may his spirit and soul have rest and peace.



Jim is survived by his brother and sister in law, Dr. Robert A. and Giuliana Feeney of Rome; nephews and spouses, David Feeney, Brian and Christina Feeney and Michael and Theresa Feeney; his best friend, Bernie Szczniak; his office family, Linda, Mel, Nan, Karen and Linda Lawrence; and many friends. He was predeceased by a brother, Edward.



The family wishes to thank Hospice for their care, comfort, and help.



A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 3 PM at St. Peter's Church. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery.



Relatives and friends may call at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street, from 1 to 2:30 prior to the funeral.
