Isabelle Drake, age 92, of Clark Mills, passed away December 11, 2012, in Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare, after a brief illness, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born August 17, 1920, a daughter of the late Henry and Martha Williams, and educated in Rome schools. Isabelle was united in marriage to Raymond Drake Sr. on November 9, 1937, in Rome; he died May 5, 1984.
Isabelle was a loving and caring mother and friend who would do everything and anything to help someone. Some of her favorite hobbies and pastimes were sewing, traveling, bingo and an occasional trip to the casino.
Isabelle is survived by two daughters and a son in law, Linda Coonrod of Milton, FL, and Gloria and Robert Sr., Carmen of Rome; five sons and four daughters in law, David Sr., and Carole Drake of Lee Center, Thomas and Terry Drake of Clark Mills, Gary and Elizabeth Drake of Rome, Lloyd and Barbara Drake of Rome, and James Drake of Clark Mills; several grandchildren and great and great great grandchildren; including a grandson, Kenneth Drake who lived with Isabelle all his life. She was predeceased by her children, Raymond Jr., Neil, Frederick, Joan Walker, and Melody Drake, and a brother and two sisters.
The funeral service will be held Friday at 7:00 PM at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street.
Burial will be in Rome Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Friday 3 to 7 PM, prior to the funeral service.
