Helena P. Bosak, age 83, of Rome, passed away November 2, 2010, at her home.
She was born May 7, 1927, in Rome, a daughter of Joseph and Eva Drapala Pycior, and graduated from Rome Free Academy. Helena was united in marriage to Stanley M. Bosak, on October 17, 1953, in the Church of the Transfiguration; he died October 31, 1996. She was a member of the Church of the Transfiguration and the Altar-Rosary Society.
Helena was a lifelong, avid reader. Her hobbies included sewing and cooking Polish food for her family and friends.
Helena is survived by two daughters and sons in law, Eve Marie and Mark Meyer of Ava, and Jennifer and Victor Amato of Utica; a granddaughter, Heather Amato; and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; sisters, Betty Zaleski and Sophie Voci, and brothers, Joseph, John, Gregory, Peter, and Frankie.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 9:45 AM from Barry Funeral Home, and at 10:30 AM at the Church of the Transfiguration. Entombment will be in Holy Trinity Mausoleum.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home, Friday 4 to 7 PM.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
