Helen C. Johnson, formerly of Rome, passed away after a short illness on March 26, 2018, in Pueblo, Colorado.
She was born March 16, 1932, in Lyons Falls, NY. Helen was the daughter of the late Andrew and Catherine Buneo. She was educated in Lyons Falls. Helen was united in marriage on September 21, 1957 to Jay L. Johnson in St. Mark's Church, Port Leyden; he passed away on February 13, 2007. Helen was a wonderful mother with a great sense of humor. She supported her sons in whatever they pursued.
Helen is survived by her two loving sons and daughters in law, Mark and Beth Johnson of Liverpool, and Marv and Stephanie Johnson of Pueblo, CO; grandchildren, Courtney, Emily, Mackenzie, Brielle, Alanna, and Nadia; sisters, Olga Nagle and Omela Wojdyla; brothers, Dan and Jim Buneo; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 6 PM at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street. Burial will be Friday, April, 13 at 11 AM at the Saratoga National Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 to 6 PM prior to the funeral service.
