McLean, age 71, of Rome, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2022 at Rome Health.Hazel was born at Chanute Air Force Base, Illinois on February 2, 1951 to the late Claude and Lula Lattimer Rumsey. On November 18, 1967, she was united in marriage to Michael McLean. Hazel was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and spent many of her years raising and taking care of her family.She liked to shop, cook, basket weave, and play bingo. She was a member of the PTG and PTA and was a former Troop leader for girl scouts. When her children were younger, she would often make their Halloween costumes.Hazel is survived by her loving husband, Mike; her two daughters, Melissa (Mike) Wallace of Louisville, KY, and Michelle (Ricky) Russell of Rome; her grandchildren, Isaac, Andrew, Micaela, Ryan, Austin, Malcom, and Tyler; a sister, Debra Rumsey of Waverly, NY; a brother Claude (Jane) Rumsey, Jr. of Arizona; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Donald Rumsey.Relatives and friends may call at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street, on Saturday, April 2, 2022, from 12 Noon to 3 PM.
