Gloria Kay Geary, age 74, of Rome, passed away peacefully August 25, 2015, in Rome Memorial Hospital.
She was born November 25, 1940, in Binghamton, a daughter of the late Kenneth and Naomi Bennett Geary, and was educated in Rome schools. Gloria formerly was employed at NYSDSO in Rome, and later for Trico Products in Brownsville, Texas.
Gloria is survived by a son and daughter in law, Michael and Agnes Geary of Rome; a sister, Jean Como of Yonkers, NY; grandchildren, Amber Geary, Elise Geary, Naomi Orsella, Sherry Connelly, Michael Geary, Jr and Dillan Geary; and great grandchildren, Alexis Geary, Lily Smith, Devin Geary and Brandon Kirkham. She was predeceased by her sisters, Joyce Beach, Pat Pritchard, Barbara Garza and Marilyn Fort; and a grandson, USMC LCpl Daniel Geary.
The funeral service will be held Thursday at 3:00 PM at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Thursday 1 to 3 PM, prior to the funeral service
