Gilbert A. Bustos, age 84, of the Town of Western, passed away August 31, 2014.
He was born April 5, 1930, in Oriskany, the son of the late Armand and Janet Smith Bustos, and educated in Rome schools. Gilbert was married to the former, Esther Hahn; she died May 24, 2013. He worked as an electrical mechanic for the 485th EIG at Griffiss Air Force Base, retiring after many years of service.
Gilbert is survived by a daughter, Shirley Rose Wingate of Ohio; two sons and a daughter in law, Gary Bustos of Verona Beach, and Daniel and Adele Bustos of Floyd; a sister and brother in law, Joyce and Paul Koenig of Stanwix; 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, September 9, 2014, at 7:00 PM, at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home, Tuesday September 9, 2014, from 5 to 7 PM prior to the service.
