Gabriel (Gabe) Jonathan Kick Rome, New York
Gabe Kick 28, resident of Rome, NY died unexpectedly on September 8th, 2011.
Gabe was born in New Hartford on March 29th, 1983. He was an aspiring musician with his band (Specel Lesters Shoes) that was one of his strongest loves, where he spent the majority of his time writing lyrics and practicing. He was also a big animal lover and avid reader of philosophy especially Nietzsche. Gabe, an avid Buffalo Sabres and Bills fan, enjoyed the outdoors and playing pick-up hockey. He was caring, friendly and very strong into his own unique political views. He had a quirky sense of humor that always put a smile on people's faces.
Gabe graduated in 2001 from Clinton Central High School. He also attended and graduated in 2005 from SUNY Brockport in Brockport, NY with a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice. He currently was employed at Xtra Mart on Seneca Turnpike in New Hartford, NY where he was loved by his faithful customers and coworkers.
He was survived by his mother Rebecca Kick and companion Carl Whittemore of Clinton, NY; Father John Kick and companion Beth Schrier of Amherst, MA; One brother Nathan Kick of Rome, NY, Paternal grandfather Leslie Kick; Maternal grandmother Amelia (Molly) Focht. He was also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, as well as leaves behind his very best friends and band members of Specel Lesters Shoes, Scott Smith and Benjamin Yager.
Come join us for the celebration of Gabe's Life on October, 22, 2011, from 5-8pm at the Clinton American Legion, HWY 12B Franklin Springs, NY.
