Franklin A. "Frank" Heilig, age 57 of Westmoreland, passed away at home on September 7, 2014.
Frank was born in Rome on December 12, 1956 to the late John Jr. and Eleanor Owens Heilig. He graduated from Rome Free Academy in 1975 and received his Bachelor's Degree from SUNY IT. Frank worked as a correctional counselor at the Mohawk Correctional Facility.
Frank enjoyed many outdoor activities and his favorite was skiing. He also loved to ride and travel on his motorcycle.
Frank is survived by two daughters, Andrea Heilig and her fiance´, Michael Kelleher, and Sarah Heilig and her boyfriend, Michael Stannard; and three brothers, Robert, John III, and Charles Heilig. He was predeceased by his brother, Thomas, in 2008.
Funeral services will be private.
