Frank J. Graveline, age 87, of Westernville, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2016 at Rome Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
Frank was born in Ogdensburg, NY on May 3, 1928 to the late Leon Graveline and Clara Barton. Upon his graduation from high school, he was drafted into the Korean War and served as a member of the United States Army. He was predeceased by two wives, Beverly Ross and Christine Fazekas. He was united in marriage to the former Virginia Pelton at St. Mary's Church in Rome. Frank worked as a supervisor at Revere Copper Products.
Frank enjoyed four wheeling and woodworking. He was a member of the Western Memorial Legion Post 1846, the Boonville Elks and Rome VFW.
Frank is survived by his loving wife, Virginia; three daughters and two sons in law, Kathi and Steve Nolan of Marcy, Lissa Graveline and Jeff Brodock of Rome, and Penny and Brian Carpenter of Westmoreland; a son and daughter in law, Michael and Bonijean Graveline of Floyd; six grandchildren and four great, grandchildren; step-daughter Helen and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Lillian Feurst and Anna Sancomb.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 6 PM at Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street. Burial will be private.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 6 PM prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Westernville Legion Auxillary where a scholarship will be established in his name.
