Frances A. (Ferlo) Galluppi, of Rome, passed away Sunday, May 20, 2012 after a brief illness with her loving family by her side.

She was born on December 16, 1946 to John "Papa" and Dorothy (Francescone) Ferlo. She attended Rome Free Academy and graduated in 1965. On July 19, 1969, she married Richard A. Galluppi. She retired from Walmart and was the primary caregiver for her beloved mother.

Frances and her husbad Richard enjoyed numerous trips traveling throughout Europe while visitng her daughter and son-in-law. She enjoyed playing cards and trips to the casino with her close friends Cookie Izzo, Donna Dudas and Lori Hamlin. She treasured playing games with her nephews at holiday gatherings and enjoyed "Sambuca Sundays" with her cousins.

Surviving besides her husband, Richard, are her mother, Dorothy Ferlo; a daughter and son-in-law, Pamala and CMSgt Michael Dilt of Cibolo, TX; a sister and brother-in-law, Dorothea and Paul Iselo of Floyd; sisters-in-law, MaryBeth Ferlo of Rome, Diane Proud Ferlo of Manifee, CA, Sharon Galluppi of Rome, Carol Galluppi of Rome, and Janet Shea of VA; a brother-in-law Joseph and Debbie Galluppi of Clifton Park, NY; her Godchildren, Danielle Wyman and Sebastian Ferlo, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins and special little man, Anthony. Finally, the family sends a very special "Thank You" to her niece, Tracey Ferlo for her untiring compassion, love and assistance.

She was predeceased by her father, two brothers, John "Skip" Ferlo and Theodore "Teddy" Ferlo, a nephew, Christopher Ferlo, and a brother in law, Michael "Mickey" Galluppi.

She was an active member of St. Peter's Church and attended mass regularly. A mass of resurrection will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 22, at 10:30 AM at St. Peter's Church. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the St. Mary's/St. Peter's Church Memorial Fund.
