Jones, age 88, of Rome, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2022, at Rome Health.Faith was born in Rome on December 29, 1933 to the late Frederick and Arlene (Bush) Gubbins, and educated in the Rome Schools. On May 5, 1953, she was united in marriage to William D. Jones, Jr.; a blessed union of nearly 38 years until his passing on March 17, 1991. Faith was a homemaker and loved to clean and keep things tidy. She was a former member of the Ukrainian Club.Faith is survived by her daughters, Terry (Philip) Jones-White of Alder Creek, and Nancy Walsh of Caledonia, NY; her sons, Stephen Jones of Rome, and William D. Jones III of Richmond, VA; her grandchildren, Joshua, David (Shannon), Anissa (Peter), Matthew, Kristin (Kenneth), Susan, Jeffrey, Heather (Chris), Brandon, and Alana; five great grandchildren, Levi, Isabella, Brielle, Wylan, and Lilianna; three sisters, Hope Vinneau, Gail (Thomas) Byrnes, and Patricia (Hank) Propp; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Joan Avery, Beverly Schroth, and Elaine Gubbins; and a brother, John Gubbins.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 11 AM at St. Peter’s Church. Burial will be in Rome Cemetery in the spring.Relatives and friends may call at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street, on Sunday from 2 to 5 PM.
