LaMont, age 72, of Rome, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2021.He was born December 9, 1948, in Rome, a son of the late William and Isabell Erenwein LaMont, and attended Rome schools.  Ernie was united in marriage to the former Carrie Beckwith on October 9, 1971.  He proudly served in the U.S. Army.Ernie was a hard-working man, but loved spending time and partying with his family and friends.  He also, for many years served as a clown in the Shriners.Ernie is survived by his wife, Carrie; a daughter, Kimberly, sons, Mark and Scott; granddaughter, Selena; and many brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews; and his dog, Bandit.Funeral services will be private.There are no calling hours.Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Barry Funeral Home, 807 W.
