Elizabeth Grace "Betty" Potter

Elizabeth "Betty" Grace Potter, age 70, of Verona, passed away June 25, 2009, at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare Center, with her loving family at her side.



She was born September 5, 1938, in Rome, a daughter of Lynn and Elvira Rostiser Davis, and educated in Rome and Holland Patent schools. Betty was united in marriage to Harold Potter on January 15, 1955. She formerly worked in Central Supply at Oneida Healthcare Center. She was a member of Zion Episcopal Church.



Betty was an avid bowler, loved line dancing and was coordinator for Project Links. She truly loved camping and family get-togethers. She always felt that any time spent with her children, grandchildren and the family cats, Sonny and Missy, too; was very special and precious.



Betty is survived by her loving husband, Harold; two daughters and a son in law, Rose Ann and Ricky Gardner of Rome, and Joan Elligott of Taberg; three sons; Harold Potter of Verona, John Potter and Fiancee Linda Miller of Verona, and Michael Potter and Jaoyte Urbanek of Rome; four sisters and three brothers in law, Ruth and Gordon Duheme of Holland Patent, Martha and Michael Roberts of Forestport, Linda and Dennis Lavold of South Carolina, and Debbie Davis of South Carolina; five brothers and a sister in law, Edward Davis of Syracuse, Howard and Mary Davis of Oriskany,Wayne Fallon of Oneida, George Fallon of Syracuse, and Gerald Fallon of Stittville; granddaughters, Krystal Menning, Amy Beckwith, Rachell Whiting and Olivia Potter; grandsons, Clifford and Christopher Brundage, Andrew Potter, William Potter and Benjamin Potter; eleven great grandchildren; and special friends , Carol and Frank Coy, and Bob and Mary King. She was predeceased by two children, William Lynn Potter and Carla Lynn Potter.



The funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10:00 AM at Zion Episcopal Church. Burial will be in Townsend Cemetery, Stittville.



Relatives and friends may call at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street, Monday 4 to 8 PM



The family wishes to thank the 5th Floor staff at St. Luke's Hospital, for their kindness and great care given to Betty. A special thanks to Jaimie, Sam, Cathy, Lorie and Brian.
