Eileen E. Hulbert, age 94, of Rome, passed away peacefully November 13, 2011, at Rome Memorial Hospital with her family at her side.



She was born April 30, 1917, in Utica, a daughter of James and Elizabeth Keanally Quinn, and graduated from Utica Free Academy. Eileen was united in marriage to Adelbert F. Hulbert on September 19, 1942, in St. Francis DeSales Church in Utica; he died September 3, 1982. She was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Church.



Eileen enjoyed bowling and golf. She was a member of the Rome Women's Bowling Association and bowled in many State and National Bowling Tournaments. She was a RWBA State delegate and one of the co-chairwomen of the NYS Bowling Tournament in Rome. She was inducted into the Rome Women's Bowling Association Hall of Fame in 2000. She also enjoyed golfing and served as secretary in many of her golf leagues. She truly enjoyed the many great friends she made while bowling and golfing.



Eileen is survived by two daughters and a son in law, Sharon Ceravolo of Rome, and Lynda and Charles Bankey of Camillus; two sons and a daughter in law, Randy and Louise Hulbert of Taunton, MA, and Michael Hulbert of Rome; 8 grandchildren, Scot Ceravolo, Brooke Ceravolo, Mandy, Aaron and Stacy Hulbert, and Kimberly, Christopher and Shawn Bankey; and 14 great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Monica Quinn and two brothers, Raymond and Walter Quinn.



Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 8:15 AM from the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street, and 9:00 AM at St. Mary of the Assumption Church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.



Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home, Tuesday 4 to 8 PM.



Memorial contributions may be made to the Bethany Gardens Memorial Fund.
