Doyle Wayne Edwards, age 74, of Taberg, passed away at his home on May 26, 2013.
He was born May 28, 1938, in Toad Holler, Ohio, a son of the late Walter and Bernice Burdette Edwards, and educated in Ohio schools. Doyle was united in marriage to Gloria Aikens, on June 15, 1978, in Rome; she died January 8, 2008. He was employed at Revere Copper Products, retiring many years ago. He proudly served in the United States Air Force.
Doyle enjoyed detailing cars and had the reputation of keeping his cars and trucks spotless. He also enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and hunting.
Doyle is survived by four daughters and sons in law, Theresa and Dennis Lalonde of Westmoreland, Penny and William Merriman of Vernon, Cheryl and Brian Potocki of Westmoreland, and Tina and John Abbott of Westmoreland; two sons and daughters in law, Edward and Melissa Edwards of Taberg, and Leonard and Allie Davis of Redfield; three sisters and brothers in law, Dolores and Bill Clinton of Dover, OH, Carol and Jerry Clum of New Philadelphia, OH, and Marcia and Tom Decent of New Philadelphia, OH; three brothers and sisters in law, Dean and Mary Edwards of Dundee, OH, Richard and Annie Edwards of Newcumberstown, OH, and Marty and Connie Edwards of Newcumberstown, OH; 13 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister and brother in law, Janet and Dean Feller.
The funeral service will be private.
