Doris G. Rogers, 91, formerly of Main Street, Lee Center, currently residing at Stonehedge Nursing Home, passed away August 26, 2011. Mrs. Rogers was born May 27, 1920, in Floyd, a daughter of the late John Peter and Lillian Hill Klossner.



Doris married Gilbert T. Rogers, on April 9, 1939, in the Boonville United Methodist Church Parsonage; Mr. Rogers died August 6, 1965. She worked at W.T. Grant and the Griffiss Air

Force Base Exchange before retiring. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a member of the Lee Center United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women's Club and the Lee Center Senior Citizens



Mrs. Rogers is survived by her daughter, Geraldine Rogers Cadrette of Montgomery, Alabama; two sons, Gilbert T. Rogers, Jr. (Debbie) of Blossvale, and Gary J. Rogers, Sr. (Linda) of Lee Center; six grandchildren, Linda M. Cadrette Abbott (John) and James W. Cadrette (Lindy) of Montgomery, Alabama, Jacqueline Rogers Houle (Roger), Gary J. Rogers, Jr. (Kathy), Jaime Rogers Kucharek (Jerry) all of Lee Center, and Thomas Rogers of Blossvale; fourteen great grandchildren, Mallory Cadrette Richardson (Andrew), Morgan Cadrette, Christopher Brakefield (Lee), Michael LaGasse, Kristen LaGasse, Samuel Houle, John Houle, Jonathan Rogers, Joshua Rogers, Jacob Rogers, James Rogers, Joseph Kucharek, Jayson Kucharek and Peighton Rogers, a great great grandson, Connor Brakefield; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Gladys Gillett (Herbert) of Lee Center, a stepbrother, Newell Fraser of California, and a son in law, Robert W. Cadrette of Montgomery, Alabama.



The family wishes to sincerely thank the "staff" at Stonehedge Nursing Home for their care, compassion and friendship extended to Doris.



The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10:00 AM at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.



Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home, Tuesday 4 to 8 PM
