Donald E. Taylor, age 75, of St. Peter's Avenue, passed away August 2, 2009, at Rome Nursing Home.
He was born September 25, 1933, in Rome, a son of Clarence and Mary Janette Clarke Taylor, and graduated from Rome Free Academy. Donald was employed for over 20 years at the former Sisto's Restaurant and later at Burger King and Ponderosa. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church and a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
Donald is survived by two sisters and brothers in law, Cecelia and Cecil Bunal of Rome, and Janice and Andrew Bunal of Rome, two brothers and a sister in law, Frank and Irene Taylor of Rome, and Bruce Taylor of Rome; sisters in law, Janet Taylor of Rome and Kay LaBonte; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters, Rosemary Taylor and Joan Kent, and brothers, Harold, Clarence (Bud), William and Paul Taylor.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday at 1:00 PM the First Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Rome Cemetery. Please check back for time of service.
