Donald P. "Don" Lula

Donald P. Lula, age 59, of Rome, passed away at his home December 29, 2012.



He was born January 25, 1953, in Rome a son of Frank Petronella and Mary Lula, and educated in Rome schools. Don worked as a mechanic for the City of Rome, and retired in 2007, after many years of service.



Don was a stay at home person who loved working around his house and yard. He also enjoyed holidays and dinners with his family and appreciated all the friends he made over the years.



Don is survived by three sisters and a brother in law, Connie Goodman of Rome, Rose Marie and Steve Bennett of Westmoreland, and Rita Sabins of Indianapolis, IN; two brothers and sisters in law, Jerry and Angie Petronella of Utica, and Frank and Dawn Petronella of Orange County, CA; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Charles Petronella.



The funeral service will be held Saturday at 10:30 AM at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street. Burial will be in Rome Cemetery.
