Dianne VandenBosch

Dianne Vandenbosch, 86, of 412 Beech Street, passed away on November 13, 2025 at Rome Health.

She was born May 30, 1939, in Toronto, Canada, a daughter of the late Roger and Pearl Goulet. Dianne became a United States citizen on February 6, 1950. Dianne was united in marriage to John VandenBosch on October 12, 1957 in Niagara Falls, New York. Together they had a beautiful marriage until John's passing in 2003. Their marriage blessed them with three children, John VandenBosch, Catherine Schmidt, and Sharon Mortis, which in turn gifted them with six grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Dianne spent the last five years living in Florida with her daughter Catherine and son-in-law John where she enjoyed the warm weather and shopping in all the thrift stores. She recently moved back to New York to be closer to her grandchildren.

Dianne is survived by her daughter, Catherine Schmidt and son-in-law, John of Rome; her daughter in law, Taffy VandenBosch in Florida; as well as her grandchildren, Kaitlin, Kelsey, Cody, Shayna, John, and Robert; and 11 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects on Wednesday, November 19, from 12 Noon to 1 PM, at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street. There will be a service at 1 PM, followed by her interment in Evergreen Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Dementia Society of America.
