Debra A. "Poland" Kaskiw

Debra A. Kaskiw, age 62, of Rome, passed away at home on February 24, 2018, after a long illness.



Debra was born November 27, 1955, in Rome, a daughter of Demar and Myrtle Martin Poland, and graduated from Bangor High School, Maine. She was formerly married to Dr. Richard Kaskiw. For the past 20 years, she operated an online based collectable doll and toy shop called Baby Boomer's House of Toys.



Debra had a passion for music and enjoyed impromptu musical evenings with friends. She was loved by many, there was not one person she could not easily talk to. She was also a true lover of animals, and leaves behind four beloved cats.



Debra is survived by her daughter, Kristina Kaskiw (Edward) of New Hartford; her parents, Demar and Myrtle Poland; a sister Lynda Marchelletta; two brothers and sisters in law, James (Donna) Poland, and David (Serena) Poland, all of Maine ; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.



Relatives and friends may call at Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street, Friday 3 to 6 PM. Funeral services will be private.
