David M. Nowak, of Marlton, NJ and formerly of Rome, NY passed away August 2, 2010, in Marlton, NJ, after a brief illness.
He was born February 9, 1963, in Reno, NV, the son of Donald and Mary Gallagher Nowak. He graduated from Rome Catholic High School and Rochester Institute of Technology. David worked for 25 years in the Food Industry business, and most recently as a national sales and marketing director. His true love was his family and friends, always making certain that others were taken care of and happy. David was the designated chef at all the family gatherings; he loved to travel and was a loyal Boston Red Sox fan. David was a wonderful uncle and role model to his many nieces, nephews and god children and will never be forgotten.
David is survived by his loving mother, Mary of Rome; a sister Kathleen (Stephen) O'Connor of Bethlehem Township, NJ and six brothers Michael Nowak (Charlotte) of Bellbrook, OH; Mark Nowak of Syracuse, NY; Paul Nowak (Margaret) of Bridgewater, NJ; Christopher Nowak (Maureen) of Chester, NJ; John Nowak; Sean Nowak (Susan) of Charlotte, NC; four nieces and eight nephews and numerous godchildren.
He was predeceased by his father, Donald Nowak.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:00 AM from the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street, and 11:00 AM at St. Mary of the Assumption Church. Burial will be the following day, Saturday at 11:00 AM in St. Mary's Cemetery, Dewitt, NY.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home, Thursday 1-4 PM and 7 -9 PM.
The family request that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the "Make A Wish Foundation".
