David Filippini, age 77, of Rome, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2026, after a brief illness.

David was born in Rome on August 8, 1948, to the late Natalino and Philomena Stromei Filippini, and graduated from Rome Free Academy in 1966, and Bradley University in 1970. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1972 as a 2nd Lieutenant. For most of his adult life, he lived in California and worked in various sales and financial roles. His passion was golfing and he was happiest when he was on the golf course socializing with his friends and family.

David is survived by his loving companion, Renee Seymour; his son, Michael David Filippini; his sisters, Arlinda Tardugno, Dawn (William) Burnam, and Laurina (Roger) Holte; his brother, Natalino (Mary Ellen) Filippini; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Rudy and Nello Filippini.

In keeping with David's wishes, there will be no services at this time. A celebration of his life will be scheduled for this summer, his favorite time of year in New York.
