Daniel V. Steele, age 34, of Rome passed away July 5, 2016, at Rome Memorial Hospital, with his beloved nurse/advocate BarbaraFamolaro-Harmon by his side.
He was born March 18, 1982, in Rome, a son of Timothy and Martha Skinner Howland, and graduated from Rome Free Academy in 2003. Daniel was an avid Yankee fan who could easily win you over with his great smile and charming personality.
Daniel is survived by his mother and father, Martha and Tim of Utica; 2 brothers and sisters in law, Zachary and Edith Howland of Binghamton, and Benjamin and Stephanie Howland of Holland Patent; special nieces and a nephew, Taylor Howland, Emmalyn Howland and Noah Ayers; and his friends at 5946 Old Oneida Road ICF.
The family wishes to sincerely thank Dan's nurse/advocate Barbara Famolaro-Harmon, for her care, compassion and friendship extended to him the past several years.
The funeral service will be held Sunday at 4:00 PM, at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Sunday 2 to 4 PM, prior to the funeral service.
