Obituary of Damian B. Schreiner Please share a memory of Damian to include in a keepsake book for family and friends. View Tribute Book  On Saturday, January 16, 2021, Damian B. Schreiner passed away unexpectedly at home. Born on May 11, 1978 to Connie and Marlin Schreiner, Damian grew up and went to school mostly in Rome. Damian had a lifelong career in the automotive industry, and owned Pro Automotive in Yorkville, a business he was so proud of. He created many cherished friendships with those he worked with and came in contact with, and always enjoyed his lunches with them. He was known for his dedication, hard work, and would do anything for anyone. In 2014, he married his best friend, Jessica Wood, at their home in Rome. Damian is survived by his wife, Jessica; son, Joshua Vega; his puppies, Walker and Jimmy; brothers, Marlin and Todd (Lisa) Schreiner; his in-laws who were truly family, David and Kathy Wood, Michael (Kerri) Wood, and Jamie (Ashley) Wood all of Rome; a special cousin, Anthony; and loving aunt, Renee Geno of Rome; multiple nephews and nieces he loved; and his father, Marlin. Damian was lucky enough to have friends that were truly family of 30 years: Michael Hosley, Dylan Wheat, Tony Trophia, Michael Grifasi, Dan Wimett, Dennis Guy, Kim Radesi, and Jason Sulley. Jessica and Josh are so grateful to have been taken into this group, for all the stories, and laughs. Damian was predeceased by his mom, Connie; his aunt, Toni; and his beloved puppies, JD & Stoli. Damian lived a full, adventurous life and will forever be missed. Due to COVID-19, a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street. Please offer online condolences at: www.BarryFuneralHome.com . To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Damian Schreiner, please visit our Tree Store
