Clara Hubal, age 87, formerly of Oneida and Rome, passed away peacefully, March 2, 2011, with her loving family at her side.



She was born September 11, 1923, in West Branch, a daughter of Frank and Wladyslawa Suleski Kaczorowski, and educated in Holland Patent schools. Clara was united in marriage to John Hubal, on September 14, 1946, in St. Patrick's Church in Taberg; he died November 26, 1990. She was a former member of St. Joseph's Church in Lee Center.

Clara was a loving and caring person. Over the years she served many families by caring for their children. Her many hobbies included crocheting, gardening and canning. She also enjoyed bowling and bowled in many of the area bowling leagues. She was a member of the Rome Women's Bowling Association.



Clara is survived by a daughter and son in law, Theresia and James Corcoran of Oneida, three sisters, Addie Bruszkiewicz of Chittenango, Stella Goworek of Rome, and Ann Johnson of Rome; step grandchildren, Kimberly Musolino, Iris Buczkowsi and husband, Ted, and Kaitlin Corcoran; and step great grandchildren, Rosemarie Musolino, Michael Musolino, Jr., Elizabeth Buczkowski and Jillian Buczkowski. She was predeceased by sisters, Sophie Jeroszko, Mary Lamb and Evelyn Sambrosky; and brothers, James, John and Joseph Kaczorowski.



The funeral service will be held Sunday at 4:00 PM, at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street.

Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.



Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Sunday 1 to 4 PM, prior to the funeral service
