Obituary

Christine T. Waterman, age 83, of Rome, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2026, at the Oneida Healthcare ECF, with her family by her side.

Christine was born in Rome on October 13, 1942, to the late Nick and Ernestine Musante Coluccio, and graduated from RFA. She was united in marriage to Carmen Gualtieri; a blessed union until his passing in 1976. She found love again and on March 28, 1981, she married Wayne Waterman in St. Paul's Church. Christine worked as a bookkeeper for Nolan Industries in Rome.

She was a devout catholic and was a communicant of St. Paul's Church. She enjoyed golfing, playing the piano, games of bunco with her girlfriends, and following her grandchildren to their various events.

Christine is survived by her husband, Wayne; her daughters, Victoria (Thomas) Wasco of Rome, and Lynne (Louis) Marcinkowski of Ava; her sons, Mark (Joanne) Gualtieri of Rome, and Nickolas (Dianne) Gualtieri of Rome; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; her brother, Thomas (Mary) Coluccio; several cousins including a special cousin, Sheila Wilson; and many friends, especially her good friend, Sandy Calicchia.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at 11 AM, at St. Paul's Church, 1807 Bedford Street. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Relatives and friends may pay their respects on Monday, August 3, from 4 to 6 PM, at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street, Rome.
