Christine Mary Linn, age 83, of 1707 Lincoln Lane, passed away peacefully, December 6, 2013, at the Rome Center for Rehabilitation from ovarian cancer.



Chris was born on August 1, 1930, in Chicopee, MA, the only child of Romeo J. and Laura Hajna Noiseux. She was educated at Holyoke High School, the University of Massachusetts - Amherst. She received her Masters Degree in education from Fitchburg State Teachers College, MA. Chris was united in marriage to Lt. Col. Loy L. Linn on November 17, 1956 at the Mater Dolorosa Church in Holyoke, MA. Loy passed away on April 27, 1999. Chris worked as an elementary education teacher in Massachusetts and as an administrator at Rome Catholic High School. She was a member of St. Paul's Church. She enjoyed going on oceanic cruises in her later years with her friends from Arizona and Connecticut. She was also a life-long Boston Red Sox fan and died knowing that the Red Sox's are the World Series Baseball Champions.



Chris is survived by four sons all of Rome: Raymond, Robert, Steven and David.



The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2:00 pm, at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street with Father Philip A. Hearn, officiating. Burial will be in Rome Cemetery.



Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home, Wednesday from 12 to 2 PM, prior to the funeral service.
