Charlotte Jakubiec

Charlotte J. Jakubiec, age 75, of Stittville, passed away peacefully on November 25, 2025 due to complications of brain surgery.

Charlotte was born in Rome on September 17, 1950, to the late Charles and Felicia DeProspero Halpin, and graduated from Rome Catholic High School. On July 22, 1973, she was united in marriage to Timothy Jakubiec. She was a devout Christian who had Jesus Christ in her heart and was a member of the Redeeming Love Fellowship in Stittville. Charlotte was well-traveled, from visiting the sunny beaches of Mexico to Russia, advocating for a high school exchange program with America. She enjoyed scrapbooking, reading, and playing classic board games with her family, especially Scrabble.

Charlotte is survived and will be fondly missed by her loving husband, Timothy; her daughter, Sarah Jakubiec; her sons, David (Vanessa) Jakubiec of Erin, TN, and Matthew Jakubiec of Silver Spring, MD; her grandson, Zebedee; her brother-in-law, Fred Rahrig; and niece, Kathyrn Rahrig. She was predeceased by her parents and sister, JoLynn Rahrig.

Charlotte's funeral will be held on Tuesday, December 2, at 12:30 PM, at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street, Rome. Burial will be in the Townsend Cemetery, Stittville.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home from 11 AM to 12:30 PM. A funeral service will follow at 12:30 PM.
