Lennon, age 78, of Rome, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2021 with her loving family by her side. She was born May 8, 1943, in Manapla, Negros Occidental, Philippines, a daughter of the late Rustico and Cresenciana Gallo Trocio, and educated in Philippine schools. Cecilia was united in marriage to the late James P. Lennon, Jr. on June 20, 1968 in Subic Bay, Philippines. With her husband, she moved to the United States and became a naturalized citizen on December 7, 1972. She retired from JCPenney after 25 years. Cecilia was a member of St. Mary’s Parish. Cecilia was passionate about honoring our veterans and volunteered actively with the New York State Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial Fund, Inc. Cecilia is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Timothy and Theresa Lennon of Rome; her cherished granddaughter, Clara, to whom she was affectionately known as Lola; her family in the Philippines; and extended family in Rome. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday at 11:00 AM, at St. Peter’s Church. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at St. Peter’s Church on Thursday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, prior to the funeral service. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Barry Funeral Home, 807 W.
