Caroline E. Korning, age 97, a long-time resident of Rome, passed away August 16, 2015, in Houston, Texas.
She was born October 11, 1917, in Lancaster, PA, a daughter of the late Robert and Anna M. Grau Ulmer, and was educated in Lancaster schools. Caroline was united in marriage to Carl F. L. Koring on November 20, 1937; he died December 17, 2006. She retired from Griffiss Air Force Base, after many years of service. She was a member of St. Paul's Church.
Caroline is survived by a sister, June Gentile; and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Friday, August 28, 2015, at 2:00 PM at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street. Burial will be in Rome Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home, Friday, August 28, 2015, from 1 to 2 PM, prior to the funeral service.
