Carole L. Jenkins, age 81, passed away on September 13, 2026, at Rome Health.

Carole was born in Rome, on January 5, 1945, to the late John and Lavinia Rostiser Coleman, and graduated from Holland Patent Central School. She was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and a member of the Sylvan Beach American Legion, where she volunteered and participated in many activities. Carole also loved to be with her family and spent many days with them in Alexandria Bay where she would listen to her brother, Paul, play his music.

Carole is survived by her sons, Scott (Kim) Coleman, and Shane Seymour; her grandchildren, Ashley (Ben) Krauz, and Kailee, Josh, Kyle, Tyler, Devin, and Dustin Coleman; her great grandchildren, Kennedy and Emery Krauz; her sister in law, Barbara Coleman; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Melissa Coleman, her sons, Todd Coleman, and brothers, John (Mary Lou) Coleman Jr. , and Paul Coleman.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the nursing staff and doctors at Rome Health for taking care of Carole.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, September 27, 2026, at Townsend Cemetery, Route 365, Stittville, at 10:30 AM, followed by a celebration of life at the Holland Patent Legion.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sylvan Beach American Legion, 703 Clifford Ave, Sylvan Beach, NY 13157.
