Hawkins, age 81, of Oneida, and formerly of Rome, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2020, after a lengthy illness. She was born January 31, 1939, in Massena, NY, a daughter of the late Vernal and Doris Preivo Fenlong, and graduated from St. Regis Falls Central School. Carol was united in marriage to Robert F. Hawkins on December 27, 1958, in Clark Mills; he died on December 8, 1995.  She worked at Marcy Psychiatric Center, as a therapy aide, retiring after many years of service. She was very active in numerous senior groups. Carol loved traveling, going out to dinner and spending time with her family.  She enjoyed her weekly outings with the senior ladies; she truly lived life to the fullest.  She will be sorely missed by all who loved her! Carol is survived by her 3 sons, Ronald, Mark and Scott, and their spouses, Ken, Dawn and  Tammy; 6 grandchildren, Britleigh, Brett, Eric, Mark, Dalton and Dakota; 4 great grandchildren, and one on the way who will be named Carter, the son of Britleigh. She will be sorely missed by all who loved her! Funeral services will be held in the spring.  Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Barry Funeral Home, 807 W.
