Johnson, age 51, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2022, at the Westchester Medical Center, after a brief illness.Candi was born in Oneida on May 25, 1971 to the late Barry and Diana Reber Pugh, and graduated from Rome Free Academy.  She was united in marriage to the Mark S. Johnson, on October 28, 2016, in Westernville, though their relationship began 27 years prior. Mark passed away on May 28, 2017.Candi loved gardening, canning foods, watching NASCAR, and her K-9 companions, Chaser and Baxter. She was also a member of the Westernville American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.Candi is survived by her sisters, Kimberly (Mark) Sweet of Westernville, and Kelly Wilcox of Rome; her nieces and nephews, Zachary (Chad), Elizabeth, Olivia, Benjamin, Mackenzie, and Hannah.Per Candi’s wishes, there will be no calling hours.A graveside services will be held in Westernville Cemetery in the spring.Memorial contributions may be made in Candi’s memory to a charity of one’s choice or to Candi’s family to help with funeral expenses.  To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Candice Johnson, please visit our Tree Store
