Bruce W. Sancomb, Jr., age 29, of Rome, passed away August 11, 2012, at Rome Memorial Hospital.
He was born September 20, 1982, in Rome, a son of Bruce W. and Lois Finster Sancomb, and graduated from Adirondack Central School. Bruce was united in marriage to the former Katherine Thomas on November 11, 2002, in Boonville. He formerly worked for United Cerebral Palsy in Rome.
Bruce was a loving and caring husband and father. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Bruce is survived by his loving wife, Katherine and children, Morgan, Bruce W. III and Steven M. Sancomb; his parents, Bruce and Lois Sancomb of Boonville; a sister, Jennifer Sancomb of Rome; brother, Bradley Sancomb of Boonville, adopted brother, Edward Champion, Sr; grandmothers, Kathleen Sancomb and Geraldine Finster; mother in law, Nancy Thomas of Clinton and father in law, Jim Thomas of Boonville; sister in law, Jamie Thomas and brother in law, Cory Thomas; a very special aunt and uncle, Brenda and Brian Engle; and nephews, Edward Champion, Jr. and Ryan Sancomb.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 7:00 PM at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home, Wednesday 4 to 7 PM, prior to the funeral service.
Memorial contributions may be made in consideration of the needs of Bruce's wife and children.
