Brian A. “Bubba” Heath, 69, a longtime resident of the Town of Western, left us on February 18th, 2025 with his loving family at his side.
Brian was born in Utica, on March 26, 1955 to the late Edward Heath and Dorothy (Catello) DePasquale. On April 27, 1974, he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Cynthia "Cindy" Green. Brian was a devoted construction worker, employed by William J. Keller & Sons, where he was respected for his strong work ethic. He also worked at Griffiss AFB during the winter helping with snow removal.
A proud and active member of the Smith Post #24 American Legion for 32 years, Brian served as the SAL Commander for six years, demonstrating his leadership and dedication to his fellow veterans. He was also a member of the Rome VFW. He loved spending time with his grandsons and watching them in all of their sporting events. When he could he enjoyed riding his Harley with his buddies and going fishing.
Brian is survived by his loving wife, Cindy; his daughter, Tina (Wayne) Weiler of Boonville; his son, Brian S. (Amy) Heath of Boonville; his grandchildren, Maxim and Bryce, whom he referred to as "Papa's Boys," Lauren, Morgan (Josh), and Ashlee; his great grandchildren, Nolan, Caliana, and Liliana; his siblings, Sharon Hendrix, Jim and Linda Heath, Kevin and Karen Heath, Teresa and Billiam Barnes, Angela and David Barnard, Joe and Cindy Heath, Laurie Wright and Drew Haws, and Anthony and Hertha DePasquale; his brother in law, Walter Davis; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Deborah Davis; his brother, Angelo DePasquale; and his in laws, Steve and Evelyn Green.
Brian's funeral service will be held on Tuesday, at 4 PM, at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street with a celebration of life to follow at the Westernville Legion. Burial will be in Westernville Cemetery in the spring.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 PM prior to the funeral.
