Brett T. Powers, age 38, of Rome, passed away June 11, 2017, in Cumberland County, PA.
He was born May 24, 1979, in New Hartford, a son of Timothy and Cynthia Mickle Powers, and educated in West Winfield and Cooperstown schools. Brett was united in marriage to Lori Bonhotel on September 10, 2011 in Rome. He was employed as an overnight stock manager at Hannaford's Markets and a truck driver for Prime Inc., and Midway Rides.
Brett is survived by his loving wife, Lori; step-daughter, Belen Hurd; parents, Timothy and Cynthia Powers of West Winfield; Father in law and mother in law, Fred and Barb Bonhotel of Holland Patent; grandparents, Ella Mickle, and Michael and Joyce Muniente; two sisters, Sarah Powers and companion, Kevin Crave of West Winfield, and Jessica Powers of Milford; a brother, Adam Powers and fiancee' Clarissa Gray of Syracuse; sister in law and brother in law, Kelly Bonhotel-Fleury and David; a niece and two nephews, Wynter (Lilly) Fleury, and Johnny and Freddie Fleury of Columbus, OH; special friends, Nick Brown, Rosanne Tesoriere and Dana Peck; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, J. Frederick and Nina Mary Powers, and Maternal grandfather, Ralph E. Mickle.
A memorial service will be held Friday at 2:00 PM at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street.
Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home, Friday from 12 noon to 2 PM, prior to the service.
