Brenda Fosella

Brenda Lee (Sherman) Fosella, age 75, of Rome, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2025, at SUNY Upstate, with her loving family by her side.

Brenda was born in North Bay, NY on February 23, 1950 to the late James and Leatrice Hayes Sherman and graduated from Camden High School. She worked for a brief time at the Rome State School.

Brenda was a social butterfly and loved being around and with people. She enjoyed going to fairs and festivals with her other half, Thomas Stein, and the two of them put on many firework shows for local events.

Brenda is survived by her loving partner, Tom; her sons, Dennis Beckwith Jr. of MD, and Garrett (Heather) Armstrong of VA; her grandson, Garrett Armstrong II; her sister, Joyce Sherman; her brothers, George and Karl (Darlene) Sherman; and many nieces and nephews including a special grand nephews, Eli. She was predeceased by her sister, Barbara Sheets; and brothers, James "Tiny", John, Kevin, and Charles "Shorty" Sherman.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 15, at 12 Noon, at Evergreen Cemetery.
