Bradford W. Amato, age 68, of Rome, passed away on December 11, 2025, at SUNY Upstate Medical Center, after a short battle with cancer, with his loving family by his side.
Brad was born in Rome on April 8, 1957, to Victor and Leona Wilson Amato, and graduated in RFA. On April 30, 2005, he was united in marriage to the former Ann Seigler. BRad worked as a bartender and then as a multigame supervisor for the Turning Stone Casino.
Brad enjoyed fishing, golfing, and going to the casino. In his younger day, he was an avid bowler. His most cherished memories were when he was spending time with his family especially when it involved playing cards.
Brad is survived by his loving wife, Ann; his son, Brad Amato, Jr.; his stepchildren whom he loved as his own, Devyn (Chad Murphy) Fisher, Miranda (Terry Aldaco) Fisher, and Kevin (Mikayla) Fisher; his grandchildren who were the apple of his eye, Julian and Arryella Aldaco, and Ronan Murphy; his sister in law, Jennifer Amato; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother, Leona; and brothers, Victor Jr. and Brian Amato.
Brad's funeral will be held on Wednesday, December 17, at 5 PM, at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street.
