Schultz, age 56, of the Town of Lee, passed away on September 17, 2019 at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, surrounded by loved ones after a courageous hard fought battle. Bev was born in Rome on September 2, 1963 to the late David and Elizabeth Gleasman Hazlett and educated in Rome Schools. She worked as a shift manager in the food service industry in Rome. Bev was a caring, kind-hearted, friendly person who loved to shop and go camping in Old Forge. She also enjoyed the simple things in life such as watching TV with her grandsons and playing go fish with them. She also enjoyed sitting on the front porch with her family and friends, just enjoying life. Bev is survived by her companion of over 30 years, Brett Bartholomew, her daughters, Sheri (Brain Meeks) Schultz, and Amanda (Garrett Babcock) Bartholomew; a son, Daniel Schultz; and her grandchildren, Braden, Blake, and Isabelle. She was predeceased by an infant sister, Tracey Lynn. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate her life on Friday from 4 to 6 PM at the Barry Funeral Home, 807 W. Chestnut Street.
